Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Martial Arts Studio

What age can someone start martial arts training?

While martial arts training can start at any age, many of our programs have classes designed for children as young as 4 years old. We also have adult classes, ensuring there's a suitable program for everyone, regardless of age.

Do I need any prior experience to join a class?

No prior experience is necessary! We offer beginner classes for those new to martial arts. As you progress, you can transition to more advanced classes, ensuring a steady and comprehensive learning experience.

What should I wear to my first class?

For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for easy movement and if possible, wear pocketless shorts. If your first class is a Gi class, you can use one of our gym Gis. As you continue your training, we recommend purchasing a nogi and Gi uniform which can be bought directly from our gym.

How often should I attend classes to see progress?

We recommend attending classes at least twice a week for consistent progress. However, the frequency can vary based on individual goals, schedules, and the specific martial art discipline. For serious competition-oriented kids and adults, the higher frequency, the better the results.

Is sparring mandatory?

Sparring is an integral part of many martial arts but is not mandatory, especially for beginners. Safety is our top priority, and sparring is typically introduced when a student is ready both physically and mentally.
